The SJFM is truly a community-run farmers market in the heart of downtown St. Johns. We aspire to create a fulfilling and exciting volunteer experience through hands-on participation. We recognize that our volunteers are a vital component of the Market and we value all the hard work they put in to help make the Market a success. There are opportunities for everyone.
To volunteer at the market during our season, contact our Market Manager or add your email to the volunteer list below. Opportunities may include helping to set up the market or break it down; staff the Information Booth; count patrons and a variety of other activities.
If you are looking to volunteer on a year-round basis, consider serving on one of four board committees. Chaired by a Board Member, each committee requires volunteers to carry out its responsibilities. If you have an interest or passion for the work of the Market, this is a flexible opportunity for you. Consider contributing your time, skills and talents to one of these committees: Community Partnerships, Governance, Development or Promotion. Please contact our Market Manager for more information.
